Plant Sales and Phyto Certificates

Several specialty nurseries will be attending the 2013 Hardy Plant Study Weekend to offer some of their unusual and hard to find treasurers. These will include Free Spirit Nursery, Fraser Thimble Farms from Saltspring Island, Harkaway Botanicals, Far Reaches Farm from Washington, USA, Linnaea Nurseries Ltd., Owl & Stump Rare Plants, Alba Plants, and three local renowned plants people.

A phytosanitary inspection will be available on Sunday morning for out of country visitors. Plants must be dropped off at a segregated area prior to Sunday morning and a fee for each inspection certificate will be payable when the plants are dropped off. Inspected plants must be picked up after the lectures on Sunday.

Accommodation

We have reserved a block of rooms with a special 2013 Hardy Plant Study Weekend rate at the Walter Gage Residence at the University of British Columbia, within walking distance of the IRC Woodward Building where the event will take place. Nightly group rates are as follows:

STANDARD SINGLE ROOM at Gage Residence - $45.00 + Tax (incl breakfast)
PREMIUM SINGLE ROOM at Gage Residence - $54.00 + Tax (incl breakfast)
STUDIO SUITE at Gage Apartments - $119.00 + Tax (incl breakfast)

Rooms are available at the 2013 Hardy Plant Study Weekend rate from now up until May 14th, 2013. After May 14th, 2013 the lowest rate to the general public will apply.
